SES Pink Day 2010

October 2010

Substation Engineering held its third successful “Pink Friday”
on 8th October 2010.

The downstairs conference room was transformed into the Pink Café, festooned with pink balloons, pink table cloths and more cakes than a bakers shop. Staff joined in by wearing pink blouses, shirts and ties.
Employees and guests enjoyed coffee and cakes, with a Pink Bingo game and a raffle.
Thank you to everyone, who joined in the event and donated money to Breast Cancer UK.
With a special thank you to Lee Smith and Alison’s mum for making such scrumptious cakes.
The total raised this year was £120.

“Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK. Each year nearly 46,000 women and 300 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK and around 1,000 women die from the disease every month.

Breast Cancer UK research work looks to eradicate breast cancer in the future whilst our campaigning and influencing work looks to address the needs of patients today. None of our work would be possible without our supporters.”
