CHAS Accreditation for 2010

March, 2010 CHAS Logo

On March 5th 2010 SES were proud to receive our CHAS accreditation letter for the second consecutive year.
The CHAS - Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme had been developed over the years by Health & Safety and Procurement professionals with the help of the Health & Safety Executive. CHAS is established as the market leader for Health & Safety prequalification in the UK.

The scheme is used by public and private sector organizations when short listing companies who apply to work for them. The likes of EON, WS Atkins Energy Division and Jones Bros Ruthin Limited are just a few of the clients that look for sub contractors through the scheme. As a result of the recent accreditation Substation Engineering Services will continue to be available for selection on the CHAS database to the above, and many more clients as a pre-qualification for tender work.

Areas of SES that were assessed as part of the Accreditation were:
General Policy Statement
First Aid, PPE, COSHH
Risk Assessments, Manual Handling, Work Equipment
Fire and Emergency Procedures, Organization for Health & Safety
Contractor Management, Health & safety Training, Accident reporting
Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, Display Screen Assessment
Monitoring, Audits and review

Congratulations to all that were involved in the submission.
