RoSPA has awarded Substation Engineering Services a prestigious Gold Award for our Health & Safety performance in April 2010. Well done to all staff that work safely and responsibly and contribute to a safe working environment. Congratulations to Paul Swift and Michelle Furber who put the submission together.

Paul Swift, the Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager will be attending the Presentation Ceremony at the Kings Suite of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel. The ceremony takes place alongside the Safety & Health Expo 2010, Europe’s leading annual Health and Safety exhibition.

David Rawlins, RoSPA awards manager, said “Substation Engineering Services Limited has shown a commitment to protecting the Health and well-being of its employees and others. Entering the RoSPA awards reinforces the message that good health and safety is good for business, and clearly demonstrates an organisations dedication to improving performance in this crucial area.”

The RoSPA awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; they help to ensure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place.

The majority of awards are non-competitive and mark achievements which are graded at Merit, Bronze, Silver & Gold Levels. Organisations maintaining high standards can win gold medals (five consecutive Gold Awards). SES Ltd Currently hold Four Gold Awards, and will be heading for a Gold Medal, Pending a successful application in 2011.
