Description
Substation Engineering Services specialises in providing technical resources to the power industry. The Company is widely recognised as one of the leading High Voltage Electrical Engineering Business in the country.
The Company is looking to recruit permanent, full time Site Managers to work at High Voltage Substations up to 400kV, throughout the UK.
The ideal candidate will have:
• TP144 National Grid accreditation, though the Company will consider applicants who are training for the TP144 qualification
• Experience of working at voltages of up to 400kV
• The ability to work UK wide
• Excellent organisation skills
• The ability to remain calm under pressureSite Managers will be responsible for:
• Supervising teams of fitters and wiremen on High Voltage Substations across the UK
• Providing a first contact point with the customer and customer liaisons
• Representing the Company and the Client at site and project meetings
• Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Providing technical advice to Project Engineers / Managers and Design Engineers
• Monitoring of Subcontractors
• Chairing weekly meetings, including safety, co-ordination, project and progress meetings
• Responsible for site Health & Safety under the guidance of the Health & Safety ManagerEducational Qualifications
• Excellent standard of educational qualifications
Vocational Qualifications
• TP144 accredited or in training
• National Grid Competent Person
• BESC
