Our Commissioning Engineers have decades of experience in the power industry. Commissioning Services we offer are as follows. 

• Preparation of detailed commissioning quality plans, commissioning RAMS and quality checklists for use during the stage 1 pre-commissioning tests, commissioning switching programmes and stage 2 energisation tests etc.
• Secondary and primary injection of complex protection and control systems to prove protection relay operation and stability etc. 
• Functional testing of complex protection and control systems.
• Installation of control systems and database upgrades and on-site testing.
• Factory acceptance testing of protection and control systems prior to delivery to site.
• Site acceptance testing of supplied customer HV equipment and control and protection systems.
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Modification of drawings to ‘as built’ status on completion of commissioning works.

Site Management

Our experienced Site Managers oversee every aspect of a substation construction project from the civil phase right through to commissioning with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. With a wealth of industry experience, they ensure that every stage of the project is meticulously planned and executed to meet the highest standards.

Our Site Managers are fully trained and knowledgeable in the relevant legislation and industry standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. They hold qualifications to SR163 for National Grid sites, which certifies their ability to manage projects in line with the stringent safety and operational protocols demanded by the National Grid. Additionally, they possess DNO safety document holder authorisations, providing them with the authority to oversee and manage safety protocols for Distribution Network Operators’ projects.

From initial site preparation and civil works to the complex tasks of installing electrical equipment and final commissioning, our Site Managers coordinate all activities, ensuring seamless integration of various project phases. Their strong focus on safety means that risk assessments and safety plans are diligently implemented, and safety procedures are rigorously followed to protect both personnel and equipment.

Furthermore, our commitment to quality is reflected in our Site Managers’ proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. They work closely with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that the project not only meets but exceeds client expectations.
